Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 / Year for 40 to 60 Hours / Week

Security and Safety
Valid passport, Medical exam, Driver’s validity license check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test, Criminal record check and Basic security clearance
Documentation Knowledge
Trans-border documentation, Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports and Inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Specific Skills
Operate and drive tractor trailer to transport goods and materials as a Long Haul Truck Driver
Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials to destinations in a safe and efficient way according to the all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, perform daily safety and security of cargo and maintenance checks
Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights and breaks, etc.
Ensure truck and equipment is safely and secured stored
Plan your trip according to the weather conditions
Clean trucks as scheduled and or as required
Follow safety procedures for transporting hazardous goods
Manage Bill of Ladings and other expense receipts pertaining to the trip
Maintain Log Books according to rules and regulations
Record cargo information, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Communicate with dispatcher at least twice in a day for updates
